Residents of West Nipissing have once again come through helping children and families less fortunate by raising $33,619.65 in the annual Santa Fund Telethon. Pledges can be honoured today at the council chambers until 4:30pm and all week at the Fire Station garage on Holditch Street. Sunday`s telethon featured music, dance and auctions. The volunteer firefighters set $30,000 as this year`s target and hit that goal and more. It means they`re assured of getting at least 200 baskets of toys and food to West Nipissing families in need.
