A charge of first degree murder has been laid again a Sturgeon Falls man. The 52-year-old was charged in connection with the death of the woman he lived with in the community. West Nipissing Police found Tammy Avery in an apartment after getting a call about a disturbance this week. Avery was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead. The man who was also in the apartment was taken into custody and makes a first court appearance in North Bay on November 28th. The accused is identified as Marc Gauthier.
