West Nipissing Police have a warning about online activity that can put your child in a compromising or embarrassing position. Inspector Ray St. Pierre says a parent told police someone asked their child to send and share explicit images over Instagram. St. Pierre says parents need to tell their kids not to communicate with people online that they don’t know. He also adds they should not send explicit images of themselves to anyone because once they end up on the net, it’s very difficult to get them off. St. Pierre says unfortunately in the parental case reported to the police, the child did send some pictures.
