The NEO Kids Foundation is introducing an annual giving campaign to help build long-term sustainability and awareness of the facility. The goal is to raise $200,000 to be used for its outpatient clinics and research into childhood cancers. About 3,900 children from Northeastern Ontario are treated in Southern Ontario each year and the goal is to reduce this number by ensuring they are treated in the north. That’s a 20 per cent increase over the past five years.
