Flu season is getting closer and with that comes reminders from various health units. Health units have started their vaccine campaigns urging people to get their flu shots. Health officials say not only is the flu preventable but it can also be very dangerous for segments of the population. Young children and pregnant women can suffer serious complications from the flu. The same also holds true for seniors and anyone with chronic health conditions like diabetes or kidney disease.
