It involved several police agencies and hundreds of kilometres of highway pursuits, but three men who stole from a Sturgeon Falls business finally got caught. When the theft took place involving a U-Haul as the getaway vehicle, West Nipissing Police spotted the truck and the chase was on. Two men jumped from the U-Haul when it went on Drive-In Road and they were quickly caught. But the driver sped away. Local police were forced to give up the chase around Verner because of the erratic driving behaviour however they alerted other police forces. Various police agencies tried catching the U-Haul and one of them finally succeeded in the Orillia area. Once caught police found well over $5,000 in stolen merchandise in the U-Haul. Three men face numerous charges.
