Halloween tips to keep in mind

With Halloween here, the West Nipissing Police are putting out several tips to ensure a safe night for everyone.   Inspector Ray St. Pierre says when it comes to costumes, parents should make sure they fit their children so they’re not tripping.  St. Pierre also prefers facial make-up over masks.   But if that’s not an option, he has a suggestion for masks which include ensuring the eye openings are large enough for the young ones to see through.  Children should also go up one side of the street then the other side instead of criss-crossing streets.  Also for motorists, drive slower tonight and watch for excited kids who might dart in front of you between parked cars.
