Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre hopes various groups apply for federal funds that support economic security for women. One program addresses barriers women face that limit their economic security. Serre says these programs are designed to empower women and advance gender equality. For information on how to apply, go the Status of Women Canada website and under the Funding tab hit the Call for Proposals button. The government has set aside $15-million to create projects nation-wide.
