Northern Tories to vote on party policy to restore passenger rail service

A proposed policy from Progressive Conservative party members from Northern Ontario calling for the reinstatement of passenger rail service has the full support from Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.   The Ontario Liberals cancelled the Northlander five years ago and Fedeli says it’s not possible to bring it back because all the rail cars are gone.  Fedeli says the Progressive Conservative proposal is very clear on who should be involved when trying to restore passenger service and it’s not the politicians.   Fedeli says it will be the rail experts who would also help determine that the passenger service would cost.   If the policy passes at the northern level, then it would be voted on at the Tory policy convention November 24th and 25th.
