A proponent of the North Bay waterfront, Doctor Rod Johnston, supports the recent Paul Mitchell study on further enhancing the facility. Johnston says the waterfront is the face of North Bay and making it more viable also encourages more economic development. Johnston says one of the main reasons Marina Point built in the city is because of the waterfront park. Johnston believes within 10 years several acres of prime land by the waterfront will be developed and that will spur further development.
