As we head into Thanksgiving this weekend, students at Franco-Nord in Sturgeon Falls are making sure West Nipissing residents have food on their tables. On Wednesday the students are again carrying out their annual food drive across the municipality from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Homeowners are asked to have food ready when students coming knocking. On Friday the students drop off the food by forming a human chain from their school to the parking lot at Sacred Heart Church. That’s where the food is loaded onto trucks and taken to the food bank. After that, at about 2:00pm, the students will parade around the streets of West Nipissing to celebrate another successful food drive.
