Heat wave continues along with warnings

Health units in the region are out with heat warning tips as we experience one more day of a late September heat wave.   The heat and humidity have made it feel like were in the mid to high 30s.  The area health units say it’s important to stay hydrated otherwise you could suffer heat stroke and faint.  People in high risk categories could also die if they become dehydrated and are exposed to excessive levels of high heat.  The health units stay try to get to cool areas, avoid the sun and wear loose clothing if you’ll be outside.  The heat wave hit last Friday covering a 500 kilometre stretch of Highway 17 from Sault Ste. Marie to Mattawa.  We should get relief by Wednesday as the temperature cools.
