A Sudbury man is commending the actions of the Sudbury police involved in a lengthy standoff close to the city’s downtown. Robbie Lavoie video-taped the barricade incident where a 32-year-old man held off police for a lengthy time on Monday. Lavoie says at one point one cop drew his gun but didn’t fire after the accused hit the officer on the arm with something. Shortly afterward the man was arrested without incident. He’s looking at numerous charges including six counts of assaulting police and one count of forcible confinement.
