Charges laid in copper theft

Temagami OPP have charged three men in connection with theft of copper.   The detachment was helping the Bear Island First Nation police after copper went missing from Temagami Lake Watch last week on Monday.  All three are charged with theft under $5,000, break and enter to commit an indictable offense and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.   The men are all from Bear Island and are in their 20s and 30s.  Police found the trio on a boat and charged the operator with operating a vessel while impaired in addition to his other offenses.
