Four hikers and their dog lost in the Killarney area have been found safe and sound by the Canadian Coast Guard. When the three women and one man got lost along the Lighthouse Trail, someone called the OPP who then turned to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton. The centre has one of its inshore boats stationed in Britt and dispatched it to the scene. The hikers and dog were waiting along a shoreline which the Coast Guard says was challenging to access because of the very rocky terrain. However after some manoeuvering, the boat got close enough that everyone, including the dog, could climb on board.
