It was a reason to celebrate at the West Nipissing General Hospital on Thursday. Hospital staff, business people and residents were on hand for the official opening of the Long Term Care courtyard. The bulk of the facility was paid for by a $100,000 donation from Caisse Populaire in Sturgeon Falls. The total cost may come in at around $115,000.
The courtyard is expected to contribute to the overall wellbeing of patients and residents at the hospital. The courtyard will get a fresh look every year and the plan for 2018 is to add more benches.
