NOP holding AGM in Timmins in August

The Northern Ontario Party has picked the Timmins area as the first community to host its first ever Annual General Meeting. It will be held at the Kettles Lake Provincial Park near Timmins. The NOP will hold an executive board election at its AGM during the weekend of August 12th to 14th.

A release from the party states the vote will be to affirm or negate positions on their executive board and will be held on August 13th. The NOP is hoping to get a large turnout from all its members across Northern Ontario. The NOP says that is one of the reasons the leadership selected this central location to make it easier for all members to attend this event.

Once the results are read, the NOP will begin accepting new nominations for all vacant board positions. The Nomination process will end on August 27th and a member’s vote will take place on August 28 and 29th. The party will announce the results of this vote on September 1st. Once these elections are done, the NOP will achieve a democratically elected board.
