A plane crashed north of Sudbury just before 5:00pm on Sunday, but police say the pilot and his dog are fine. In a release, Sudbury Police said they, along with crews from Emergency Medical Services and Greater Sudbury Fire Services, responded to the crash.
Police located the plane quickly, and found the pilot was in good health. He was taken to Health Sciences North as a precautionary measure. CFB Trenton quickly launched a search and rescue mission and the pilot and dog were found less than two hours later.
