The province is implementing changes in the justice system to get court cases to trial faster across Northeastern Ontario. One change affects North Bay where the province is putting a new bail verification and supervision program in place. The program will provide more supervision and support to low-risk people waiting to go to trial. Also the northeast will have access to two additional Crown Attorney assistants. The assistants will be based in Sudbury but will visit court rooms across the north east experiencing trial delays.
