To help commemorate Canada 150 in West Nipissing, a maple tree planting ceremony was held outside of town hall yesterday. Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre and Mayor Joanne Savage were among the local dignitaries on hand for the ceremony.
Savage says it was a pleasure to commemorate the big event, and to recognize and thank the many volunteers in West Nipissing. She says so many people give their time working in partnership with the city and with businesses to beautify the community.
