West Nipissing residents will soon see quite a few community benches in downtown Sturgeon Falls and other locations. Mayor Joanne Savage says a volunteer effort is underway to solicit sponsorships from businesses. She says a good number of businesses have jumped on board resulting in quite a few benches. Savage says 17 benches have been confirmed to date. The municipality is expected to spring for donation plaques engraved on the benches which would be stored for the winter to prolong their lives.
