First Nation Chief prepares to advance Aboriginal issues under Liberal majority

The Chief of a Northern Ontario First Nation says the Liberal majority win gives the government power to address several Aboriginal issues.  Isadore Day of the Serpent River First Nation says the previous minority rule created too many barriers when addressing issues like missing and murdered Indigenous women, education and child welfare.  But Day says the majority outcome changes that and he’s sending a letter to Premier-elect Kathleen Wynne proposing a new way to advance collective interests in Ontario.
