High school football made an appearance in West Nipissing for the first time since the late 1970s. The North Bay Bulldogs Bantam and Juniors played at Northern Secondary against the York Region Lions. The Lions easily got by the Bulldog Bantams 41 to 6 but the Junior Bulldogs then got by the York Juniors 39-14.
