A man from Engelhart is barred from fishing for two years plus he’s been hit with a $1,000 fine for fishing during the off season. Eric Watson was fishing for walleye on a river near Lake Temiskaming last month a week before the season started. The woman with him was fined $250. Conservation officers saw the pair catch and hide two walleye in a cooler. The river in question is a major migration and spawning area for walleye in Lake Temiskaming.
