Campaign leaders unveiled for Place des Arts

The capital campaign cabinet, made up of six honorary patrons and 12 community leaders from Greater Sudbury, has been unveiled by Place des Arts. The goal of the campaign is to fundraise $3.25 million for the future downtown facility, with the support of the private sector and the community. Honorary patrons including former Ontario premier Bob Rae and Steelworkers head Leo Gerard.

The campaign was conceived last January and is presently in its silent phase. That means several donors have already confirmed their contributions, which will be announced this fall at a formal campaign launch. Place des Arts also expects other public funding to be confirmed in the next few months
