West Nipissing will be host to varsity level football for the first time since the Sturgeon Falls Bombers of the late 70’s. With a number of West Nipissing players and volunteers on the teams, both North Bay Bulldogs Bantam and Jr Varsity squads decided to hold their home openers versus the York Region Lions at Northern Secondary this Sunday June 4th. The Ontario Varsity Football League action starts at Noon with the Bantam game, while the Jr. Varsity game follows at 2:30. (image supplied)
