Work continues on the OPP costing study for West Nipissing. A while back council asked for another study to see what it would cost to replace the municipal police with the provincial force. The next phase involves an information gathering stage between the OPP and the municipality’s CAO and Director of Finance. That meeting is expected to take place within the next two weeks. However, there will still be a lot of work to do before the OPP complete their analysis and can present a final report to council and the public.
