The National Aboriginal Hockey Championship is underway in Cowichan British Columbia with Lily George and Cailen Hanzlek from Nipissing First Nation and Melanie Young of Dokis First Nation on the Ontario girls squad. William Michaud and Emile Cyr of Nipissing First Nation are part of the Ontario Boys Squad.

Ontario girls won their first game 4-1 Monday against Eastern Door & North with local Lily George scoring in that game.
Ontario boys clobbered Atlantic 10-1 in their first game with William Michaud potting a goal and an assist in the win. Both teams play their second games Tuesday.
