Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof says people shouldn’t really accept that the Liberals have balanced their budget. He says the budget looks balanced on paper but adds the road the Liberals took to achieve this is a bit deceptive. He says for one thing they used the money from the sale of Hydro One to achieve a zero deficit. But Vanthof says selling Hydro One was a huge mistake. He says since starting the sale of the utility, the Liberals have lost $1 billion in income. Vanthof says to this day he’s still in shock that the Liberals put Hydro One up for sale.
