It’s taken years, but work officially began on the Long Term Care Courtyard in Sturgeon Falls with a ground-breaking ceremony. The courtyard will be situated on the West Nipissing General Hospital site and should be completed this summer. Among those taking part in the ceremony were hospital board members, residents, volunteers and dignitaries. The project started years ago with bake sales to help build the courtyard. But it really took off only a few months ago when the local Caissie Populaire donated $100,000 for the project.
