The Northern Ontario Party has its first riding association and it’s in the Nipissing riding. In addition to forming the board, the party has named a candidate and he’s Trevor Holliday, who is also party president. Holliday will be taking on Tory MPP Vic Fedeli. Holliday says one of the issues the NOP will push is the formation of a Northern Ministry of Natural Resources. Holliday says this ministry would be based in Northern Ontario and operated by northerners. Holliday also says members have voted on what platforms to pursue in the next election and those details will come out in the near future.
