A couple of separate incidents have led West Nipissing police to charge people with possession of a controlled substance. In one case they stopped a motorist for a traffic violation and because he’d been drinking, he got a three day suspension. In the course of searching the man, police found a controlled substance on him which lead to the charge. In the second instance, a man who was publicly drunk was taken into custody where police found some meth pills on him. Meanwhile police are also looking into a break-in at a restaurant where some money and liquor was stolen.
