The days of free hall rentals in West Nipissing are ending for some groups. Mayor Joanne Savage says council did the math and found it gave out $20,000 of free space last year to various organizations. The municipality is now developing a rental policy for its halls. However the policy will exempt non-profit groups while other groups will get a 50 percent discount.
