The damage at the Marco Polo restaurant fire in Sturgeon Falls is around $400,000. The estimate includes the loss of the building and everything inside which includes food and restaurant equipment. An investigator from the Fire Marshall’s Office spent Friday night and Saturday gathering evidence to help determine a cause. Fire Chief Richard Maranda says there’s no indication when the office will know what started Friday’s blaze. What is known is the fire started in the back of the building in the kitchen area.
