Resident of Nipissing First Nation wins Juno music award

The Grand Council Chief of the Anishinabek Nation says it’s great to see First Nation people recognized for their talents on a national and world scale.  Patrick Madahbee was reacting to area First Nation people doing well at the Juno awards.  Ian Campeau of the Nipissing First Nation and his group A Tribe Called Red won Producer of the Year for work on Sila and R.E.D.  Crystal Shawanda of Manitoulin was nominated for Indigenous Album of the year for her latest album, Fish Out of Water.  Shawanda didn’t win this time around, but she is a previous Juno winner.
