The billowing smoke visible from a distance in Sturgeon Falls early this morning has begun to subside with the help of West Nipissing Fire Service and emergency crews. Witnesses at the scene and images of Marco Polo’s Pizzeria on Front Street (Hwy 17) seem to indicate significant damage to the restaurant. Detours were still in place as of 8:40am and fire fighters are still on scene managing the blaze. No further details available from Emergency Services at this time but Moose FM will update as information becomes available.
