On Thursday Moose News told you about a pilot project where the Ontario Liberals are introducing a financial literacy program in 28 high schools. Now the Moose has learned not one of those schools is from Northern Ontario. And that’s disappointed the chair of the Near North District School Board. Dave Thompson says at least one northern school should have been included in the pilot. Thompson says he doesn’t know what criteria the Ministry of Education used to decide what schools made it to the pilot. He adds not even the Ontario Public School Board Association was told what selection process was used.
