Legion Branch 225 has made it a lot easier for the West Nipissing General Hospital to get a transport incubator. The branch gave the hospital $6,500 towards the incubator which costs nearly $20,000. The incubator is used to get a newborn baby to North Bay whenever there’s an emergency delivery in West Nipissing. The incubator has devices to keep the infant warm and is also equipped with oxygen if needed. The cheque from the Legion wasn’t the only bit of good news for the hospital. On Thursday it officially opened its new digital X-ray suite.
