Doctor Catherine Whiting will again carry the mantle for the Liberals in Nipissing during the provincial election. The local riding association issued a news release to that effect on Tuesday. That’s a big contrast to when Whiting ran in the last election and used a news conference to announce her candidacy. Whiting is the former Medical Officer of Health for the North Bay- Parry Sound District Health Unit. Whiting says the Liberals have demonstrated a clear commitment to Northern Ontario by creating jobs and putting money in the economy.
