A total of 267 job vacancies were recorded in the Nipissing District for the month of December, which is a 28.2 per cent decrease in the amount of vacancies compared to November. That’s also significantly lower than the 325 vacancies posted last December.
The greatest number of vacancies for this month came from the Health Care and Social Assistance industry with 22.8 per cent of the overall vacancies. That value was only slightly ahead of the 21.3 per cent of vacancies in the Administrative Support, Waste Management and Remediation Services industry.
Other notable changes included the Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting industry which had no vacancies in the previous month, but posted 15 in December. The Manufacturing industry also saw a big drop in the vacancy share, down to 1.9 per cent from 6.2 per cent last month.
