A Haileybury man has been fined $2,000 for dumping a motor boat engine in a lake south of Temagami. The man claims he had the engine sitting on a dock during 2015. The man was renting a home on the lake at the time and when he left, a neighbour told the court the engine was in the water by the dock. A second neighbour confirmed this. The testimony from both neighbours was all the judge needed to convict the man despite his repeated denial that he didn’t dump the engine.
