Police say remain cautious when driving even in good weather because of hidden dangers

We might be enjoying the unexpected January thaw because in some ways it`s made for cleaner roads.  But Timmins police officer, Marc Depatie  says even mild weather during winter creates hazards like hitting black ice.   Depatie says city roads and highways might appear clear, but he adds it`s a good idea to still drive with caution just in case you run into black ice.  Another danger to watch for are passing vehicles throwing road slush onto your windshield which could blind you temporarily.
