Intestinal outbreak isolates five patients at hospital

The West Nipissing General Hospital has isolated five patients after an outbreak of enteric.  Enteric is an intestinal illness which causes vomiting and diarrhea.  The hospital is working with the North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit to ensure patients and staff remain safe.  And part of those safety measures apply to the public.  Staff say if you have a fever, or are experiencing diarrhea, nausea or vomiting spells, don’t visit patients at the hospital.
