Prepare for the flu

Each year the flu hospitalizes around 12,000 Canadians and about three thousand patients die as a result of the virus.  The North East Local Health Integration Network says although last year was a mild year for the flu, it’s expecting more cases this year.  The LHIN expects the virus to peak in the northeast during the first part of January.  The LHIN says it’s not too late to get a flu shot.  You can also reduce your chances of contracting the flu by washing your hands a lot.
