By the end of Friday, more than 200 under-privileged families in West Nipissing will have Christmas baskets. Members of the West Nipissing Fire Services and Volunteer Firefighters have been delivering the baskets filled with goods since Thursday. While families on the outskirts of Sturgeon Falls were recipients on the first day, on Friday, Sturgeon Falls and Springer residents get their baskets. The baskets are handed out annually thanks to the Firefighters’ Santa Fund Telethon held each November.
