Potato chip recall underway

With Christmas this weekend, no doubt many families are stocking up on munchies as families get together.  However, we’re getting word of a food recall by Old Dutch Foods.  The company is recalling its Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips because of possible contamination by salmonella. The affected bags are the 66 and 225 gram sizes.  The smaller bag has a best before date of next February 24th and the larger bag’s best before date is next March 2nd.  The chips were sold in Northern Ontario and consumers should either take them back to your grocer or throw them out.  In severe cases, salmonella can kill people with weak immune systems, young children, seniors and pregnant women.   Healthy people could go through nausea, stomach cramps and diarrhea.
