At 28 years, Doreen Dewar is the Rainbow school board’s longest serving trustee and this week Dewar was acclaimed as the board’s chair. That makes it five years in a row for Dewar as chair. And back for a fifth straight year as vice-chair is Dena Morrison who was also acclaimed. Morrison has been a trustee since 1998 after 25 years of work in the federal government. As for Dewar’s background, she’s a former teacher and businesswoman.
