West Nipissing police are dealing with several incidents. Inspector Ray St. Pierre says police got two complaints of suspicious people going onto private property in Sturgeon Falls. He says on Levesque Street someone walked around a home, then onto the deck, opened the door but didn’t go in. In a separate incident on John Street, two people climbed the back porch of a house but ran away when they were confronted. Meanwhile in Verner, someone stole a snowmobile, laptop, snow tires and a ring from a home. And back in Sturgeon Falls, a person on Second Street had their bike and tires stolen as well as meat from a fridge. St. Pierre says it’s a good idea to keep doors locked especially since were very close to Christmas and you may have valuable gifts under the tree.
