North Bay to host 2018 World Women’s Curling Championship

It’s a coup for North Bay.  The city has been chosen to host the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship.  The vice president of the World Curling Association, Graham Prouse, says North Bay was picked because it will be able to pack the stands and accommodate fans from all over the world.  This is only the second time an Ontario city has hosted the Women’ World championships.  Hamilton did it first in 1996.  The 2018 world championship runs from March 17th to the 25th and features the top 12 women’s curling teams in the world.
