Residents concerned by unusually long public rail crossings

Residents of Capreol and Hornepayne in the Algoma District, have had it with lengthy public rail crossings.  In some cases people in Capreol have to wait more than 15 minutes for a train to clear a public crossing.  The residents have given Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre  a petition to limit rail crossing wait times to a maximum of 15 minutes.  And town council in Hornepayne has approved a motion to also put a time limit on how long trains can block a public road.  Serre says the lengthy waits have reached a point in Capreol where public safety is now a concern.
